Edward J. Donelan, Founder and President
Ed Donelan has been involved in the electrical, communications and data processing industry for over 30 years. As President of Telecom Infrastructure Corp, the company he founded in 1985, he continues to serve Fortune 1000 companies as a specialist in designing and implementing information transport systems. Prior to establishing Telecom, Ed was a communications consultant to many Wall Street firms as well as senior communications analyst with the Reader’s Digest Association and American Can Company. Ed came to the telecommunications industry with a solid background in residential and commercial electrical contracting and holds an electrical license.
Dedicated to the attainment of excellence, Ed became a member of Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), the worlds largest Telecommunications Association, in 1987 and earned the association’s highly regarded Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) as well as the Connecticut Telecommunications Infrastructure Layout Technician license (TILT). A lifetime advocate of the importance of quality education, Ed has 100% of his staff BICSI trained. He continues to be an avid proponent of high personal and professional standards, and encourages continued education for growth.
Currently, Ed sits on the Board of Directors for BICSI serving as the Treasurer for a two year term and previously served two two-year terms as Northeast Regional Director for BICSI. During the four years as Regional Director, Ed provided over 3,700 members in his region with leadership to improve communications and promote BICSI and its members.
